Through your many life experiences you have probably faced numerous obstacles along the way of pursuing a goal of some sort. In some cases you probably also had no idea how you were going to overcome those obstacles. At the end of the day you realize that you either had to take a leap of faith and trust God or completely back away.

The movie, “Faith Like Potatoes” is a real-life story of Angus Buchan, a potato farmer that leaves Zambia with his family for greener pastures. They find their way to South Africa and settle in a farmland where they don’t know anyone and nowhere to send their children to school. With time he meets some other Zulu people in the area and initially has challenges with speaking the language.

His life is similar to that of Abraham’s in the Bible in that God calls him to go to a place he’s never been to so as to establish him there. Angus has an encounter with God during that time and eventually gives his life to Him. He feels a deep call to preach the Word of God to people and he starts with the people who become his farm workers and changes the course of their lives.

From not knowing what he was going to do in South Africa he discovers his purpose in Jesus Christ and his life has never been the same as a result. Today he preaches the Word of God to various audiences around the world and has written books that have blessed the lives of so many people. This movie is a must watch if you’re looking to stimulate your faith in God and the plans He has for your life.

It’s amazing what God can do through you when you choose to give Him His place in your life. When He calls you to do something a lot of the time it doesn’t make sense in the natural but you should remember that His ways are higher than your ways and His thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Be sure to get yourself a copy of the movie and watch it with family and friends. It will change your life in a big way. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Remember to leave your comments below as well as to share the post on social media. Until next time,
