“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) This is what you are coming out of Sanctuary. You have a new vision, renewed sense of hope and more importantly you’re moving in the right direction. When we pursue selfish desires or materialistic things we tend to think that we need certain things to happen first before we can go ahead. It’s the opposite when you’re doing God’s business.
You come to the realization that the Big Need you have been called to address God has equipped you to start doing something about it. We came into this world with nothing and therefore are going out the same way. God called you to serve his people and the more you are faithful with the gifts, talents and resources He has given you the more He will avail to you. Jesus set the perfect example for us as it says in Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.“
When you finally realize what God created you to do you will hear your heart say, “I was born for this!” We experience the greatest joy when we meet needs in other people’s lives that only you can address in a unique way. When you come into alignment with God and trust Him to lead you life takes on a whole new meaning and what you were unable to do before He gives you the grace to do. His grace is made perfect in our weakness. Pertaining to my own life I can already see doors opening for me and it’s just the beginning.
At the end of the day God will not look at how much money you made, the records you set or the number of educational qualifications you accumulated. It’s going to boil down to the number of lives you touched while you were on earth. Be faithful with the assignment you have been given by the Lord. It matters. The world tells us that to be considered great you have to be better than others. The only person you should compete with is yourself.

Compete with your own potential and when you measure up to it God will look down to you and say, “Good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with little; I will set you over much.” Wherever you are today have a clear vision for your life because your life matters. God has invested so much in you to meet a Big Need in other people’s lives. Be faithful and God will be faithful to you too.
Today is a new day. Take charge of your life. Choose to be your unique self and other people will be drawn to you for your authenticity. That is how God created you.
