The #1 Strategy for Victory in Battle

The #1 Strategy for Victory in Battle

- in Success

Looking back on my life I realize all the things I have managed to accomplish with my life and thankful to God for His grace. In any pursuit or endeavor we are always going to face obstacles of some sort that need to be overcome on the way to accomplishing our goals.

Isn’t it amazing that when you have no goals life seems easy going and comfortable? When you set goals and begin working towards them you face obstacles or challenges that were not there before and life is no longer as comfortable as it was. As long as you are pursuing your purpose obstacles will always arise. Some may be external forces working against us and others may be due to our own poor choices.

Years ago when I was in varsity working on my second year project I didn’t really know what I was doing and had to present it to a panel. This was a standard practice for all students. It came to the very last day before presenting our projects when I realized that I was doomed because I was not well prepared. Needless to say, the following day all that needed to be done was accomplished and hence I successfully presented my project.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

What happened between the time I was distressed and the time I presented my project, you may be asking. Realizing my predicament I got on my knees and prayed to God to help me with my situation because I would not be able to proceed to the next level. Not too long after I ended my prayer one of my friends came to see me, I told him my situation and he offered to help me. We worked through the night to do all that needed to be done and even though it wasn’t the best of projects I was still able to get the desired result and move on to the next level.

Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting yourself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depths of our hearts.” ~ Mother Theresa

A lot of the time when we are in tight situations we try to figure out things ourselves without consulting the Almighty God. God is concerned about even the smallest of things that we may feel like we are bothering Him if we bring them to Him. When you look at the great men and women in the Bible they were all people that sought the Lord and did not lean on their own understanding.

When it comes to our careers, family life, social activities, etc we usually have our own strategies of what we need to do to get the desired results. However, a lot of the time we do not include prayer as part of the strategy to make all the strategies work successfully. I remember a pastor from my local church teaching that life is spiritual.

It made me realize that everything starts in the spiritual realm and then manifests in the physical realm. Another lesson I got from our Senior Pastor is that worship precedes revelation. When you spend time worshipping the Lord He reveals strategies to you that will give you victory in all the goals that you pursue that are in line with His purpose for your life.

The above clip is a lesson about prayer based on a recently released movie called, War Room. It made me realize how important prayer really is and I’m looking forward to watching the movie soon. Prayer should be a part of our daily lives and once we have that understanding of the power it has in our lives we are always going to be victorious.

Our prayers, mixed with faith, will make all the strategies that God reveals to work in our favor so that we become victorious and bring glory to His Name.
