Now that we have a good understanding of what the world of the S-Quadrant looks like we can now look at how to become financially free if you’re starting from there. If you missed that part from our previous article you can find it here. The question we are answering here is, “How can I become financially free starting from the S-Quadrant?” I hope you will find the information valuable.
The first change needs to take place in your mindset. We learned from the previous article that S-Quadrant people like to work alone because they fear that other people will become their competition. The realization that you cannot do it all yourself is a good starting point because there’s only so much we can do by ourselves. The next thing would be to develop strategic partnerships or hire competent people to take care of the less priority tasks of your business to allow you to focus on the main job at hand.
By doing so you are making the shift towards being a B-Quadrant business owner. Depending on your level of success you may also expand your reach by providing your services in different areas which then increases your cash flow. Your excess cash flow can then be invested in profitable investment vehicles to give you true financial freedom.
It is important to have a long term vision regarding your business. Working in the S-quadrant is probably best when used a stepping stone to get to the B and I quadrants rather than being your destination. It is certainly the one that carries the most risk of the four quadrants. Anything can happen either to you or your business and put you in a very difficult position that may be very difficult to recover from.
Robert Kiyosaki also advises selling your practice or small business at your peak and then taking a break before starting something else. Like we mentioned in an earlier article this is the most taxing quadrant because you work extremely hard to be successful. No matter how successful you become here you cannot work forever, especially as you grow older and energy levels diminish.
It would be wiser to only use the S-quadrant as a stepping stone to create a business that will produce consistent cashflow without your direct involvement. That is the responsible thing to do especially when you take your family into consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to read this information. We hope you have received much value from it. If you have had similar experiences feel free to share in the comments below. We would love to hear how you have managed to live in the S-Quadrant as you pursue financial freedom.
In the next few articles we are going to look at the world of B-Quadrant business owners. I think it’s safe to say a lot of you will be interested to find out how to become successful in that world. Stay tuned for that session. Until next time,
Be all you can be!
