The 700 Club caught up with professional footballer turned actor TC Stallings to interview him about his life’s journey to becoming an actor and doing what God has called him to do. TC Stallings starred in the Sherwood Pictures film Courageous (2011) and then went on to become the lead actor in the Kendrick brothers film War Room (2015).

Both movies did very well in the box office and transformed people’s lives all over the world. War Room in particular became the number one movie in America within about two weeks of being released in the theatres. War Room was produced on a $3million budget and made more than $67million.

Today TC Stallings is traveling around the country telling people his story of how God has used him for His glory and encouraging them to do the same. TC Stallings’ number one pursuit in life was to play in the NFL as a professional footballer but that was not part of God’s script for his life.

He got to a point where God arrested his personal desire and then he traded his own will for God’s will to get him to where he is today. That experience and journey led to his first book, “The Pursuit: 14 Ways in 14 Days to Passionately Seek God’s Purpose for Your Life” where he shares his life story and teaches people how to find their life purpose as authored by God and not themselves.

Living for God’s glory

By being obedient to God his life has become a huge testimony to multitudes of people including myself.

The purpose of life is to bring glory to our Heavenly Father using the gifts and talents that He has given us. Consider what the scriptures say about this,

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” ~ John 15:7-8

I do not know where you are today but one thing for sure is that God has a plan for your life that He authored even before you were conceived in your mother’s womb. Psalm 39:16 says, “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Frustration when you are misaligned

If you are experiencing a lot of frustration in your life it may be because that you are not aligned to your life purpose according to God’s plan for your life. Many times we create our own life purpose and then ask God to bless it. If that is the case with you then you need to submit your own will for God’s and you will begin to see the transformation that will take place.

The world is very misleading when it says that you can become anything you want to be in life but that is not what God wants for you. You need to become what God wants you to be, to live out your life purpose for His glory and not your own. Often when you design your own life purpose it is because you want to get glory from men.

Get in alignment with your life purpose as authored by God and see the transformation that will take place in your life. God’s promise that if you seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness all other things will be added to you will become a reality in your life.

This made me realize that life doesn’t have to be as complicated as we sometimes make it out to be.
