We have come a long way with this particular series and I hope you are learning some valuable things from the previous posts. The unfortunate thing is that most people do not know the truth hence, living in bondage and fear. Since they don’t know any better they just do what they are told to do which is basically giving other people control of your life.

Very closely tied to the media industry there is the music industry which now has been subtly used to control people’s minds. Young people in particular spend a lot of time watching music videos either online or platforms like DSTV. Music is a very nice instrument for having fun but most of it these days is not at all good. Most of it is detrimental but not so obvious because people focus more on the beat and not much on the lyrics.

Music, like all other things, was created by God for the purpose of praise and worship to Him. Satan, known as Lucifer at the time, was an angel in heaven that was responsible for that ministry and became prideful desiring to be worshipped himself. God banished him from heaven because of that and so Satan went with a third of the angels and formed his own kingdom. He has a very strong influence on the music that is available today as a way of getting the praise and worship that he craves.

In some music videos by popular artists of this day and age they magnify the devil if you pay close attention to the lyrics.

How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” ~ Isaiah 14:12-14

Parents are advised to monitor the music that their children listen to because most of it is detrimental to their well being. I heard of an incident once about a young person that committed suicide and it was discovered that they had been listening to a music video that spoke about killing yourself. The music beat was probably exciting but the lyrics kept programming his subconscious mind until a point where he acted on the programming and took his life.

There is a book called, “The Great Connection” by Bonnie Deuschle that teaches about God’s perfect plan for music in the form of praise and worship to Him. As I have mentioned already the devil corrupted that plan by seeking the praise and worship for himself instead of God. This is what the Bible says about praise and worship,

This people I have formed for myself; they shall declare my praise.” ~ Isaiah 43:21

Music is such a powerful tool that is associated with entertainment yet very subtly used to blind people from the real issue at hand. Man was created to worship and we either worship God or the devil, there is no in-between. We may want to evaluate the kind of music we listen to and establish whether or not it glorifies God and builds us up.

There is a serious agenda by the enemy to destroy mankind and these are some of the issues that we need to be aware of. I hope the revelation you have received through this series moves you to act on the truth or share with someone else that would be helped by it.

Feel free to share the post and leave your comments below. In the last part we are going to talk about what we need to do about what we have learned through the series.
