48 Bible Verses to Meditate on When Going Through Tribulation

Every now and again you’re going to face tribulation and there Bible verses that refer to this. Tribulation is part of the Christian walk but there are verses in the Bible that say we overcome too.

We are told in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Because tribulation is guaranteed in this life it’d be a good idea to memorize some Bible verses. In this post I refer to some verses in the Bible that have strengthened me in time of tribulation.

Here are 48 Bible verses to encourage you through times of tribulation:

  1. “Have not I commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9
  2. “And he said, ‘Listen, all you of Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’” ~ 2 Chronicles 20:15
  3. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” ~ 1 John 4:4
