Edwin Louis Cole was considered the best minister for men and even to this day his work still ministers to many men all over the world. Having been a minister for almost thirty years God called him to build a ministry that would focus on developing Christian men, hence the book, “Maximized Manhood”
Being a man is a massive responsibility. From my own life experiences there is a subtle difference between being a man as the world sees it and being a man according to God’s word. Men have been under attack from the days of Adam. The enemy knows that as long as he can restrict men and their potential everyone else remains exposed to his devices.
“Maximized Manhood” points out these challenges men face and what they should do about it so that they live maximized lives and lead their families, communities and nations. When you look in scripture God always sought a man whenever He wanted to accomplish something on the earth. God is looking for authentic manhood in men so He can fulfil His purpose in the earth.
Here are some of the lessons you will get as you read the book:
Kept out of Canaan
In the Old Testament we read about the Israelites and the great miracle of God taking them out of Egypt and leading them to the Promised Land. Most of that generation that left Egypt perished in the wilderness partly for their unbelief in that God would lead them successfully into the Promised Land.
However, there are five specific sins that kept them in the wilderness and it’s the same sins that are keeping men today from their full realizing their full potential. As you read this particular chapter you will find out what they are to help you avoid or overcome them so that you become the best of what God created you to be.
Is There a Priest in the House?
Many of the problems we see around the world are because men are not taking their place in society primarily in the home. Men are created to be leaders. When men fail to lead it forces the women in their lives to stand in the gap which is where problems begin. This is a problem in many homes both in the Church and in the world.
You will learn in this section God’s design for men to be leaders in their homes. When men step up to their leadership role the rest of the family is blessed as a result. It is so crucial to understand.
Take it to the Cross
Because Adam and Eve fell from grace the rest of mankind was born in sin and we are in need of a Saviour. That Saviour is our Lord Jesus Christ. An excerpt from the book reads,
“The law shows us that we are sin-sick by nature and are in need of a cure.”
Since we are born in sin, we are negative by nature. For you to becom
e the person God has created you to become you need to be converted from negative to positive. This is what happens at the Cross. Jesus bore your sins so that you could be set free to live an abundant life. Edwin Cole explains how you can go about it.
